"Mindfulness Awareness Practice" is a 4-week free online course offered by Integrating Technology on a Moodle learning management system. The course is designed to help educators develop mindfulness skills to improve communication, create a positive classroom environment, manage time effectively, and overcome procrastination. Through interactive learning, participants explore mindfulness techniques that enhance personal and professional well-being.
The course begins with an orientation that introduces participants to the objectives and structure. Live online weekly meetings are optional, with recordings available for those who cannot attend in real time. These meetings provide opportunities for real-time engagement and discussions. In the first week, participants get acquainted and build a supportive learning community. The second week focuses on research and mindfulness, exploring the connection between academic inquiry and mindfulness techniques. The third week covers formal mindfulness practices and their application in the classroom to foster a mindful teaching approach. The final week provides practical tips and tricks, allowing participants to showcase their learning and reflect on their experiences.By the end of the course, participants will have a solid foundation in mindfulness, practical tools for implementation, and a supportive community to continue their journey.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion, recognizing their commitment to integrating mindfulness into their educational practice.
