For starters, I feel really eager and motivated to keep using AI for both teaching and learning. It is a tool that we need to learn to embrace and exploit all the potential it has in education.
I consider that using AI for course development is a very useful practice when teaching and develop courses. It allows us to enhance our teaching style and in consequence it improves students learning.
On the other hand, AI usage still has many detractors and in some cases it is frowned upon when some teachers manifest the use of these new technologies, but as people keep saying, AI is not going anywhere. We need to learn to live with it the same way we learned to live with the calculator many years ago.
I chose the article titled "Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Foreign Languages Learning Process: Studentsโ Academic Outcomes and Motivation" because I consider that "foreign languages proficiency, motivation, and pedagogical interaction" get along pretty well and also because I am a staunch beliver that using AI is the future of language learning.ย
I am currently teaching a course of Technologies for teaching and learning languages at Saint Mary's university and my role is to explain and promote the responsible use of technologies to pre-service teachers so they feel confortable in the moment of using any tool that is available in the market.
