I have experience with Cambridge Moodle when I set them for the CELTA courses I work on. I am hoping I can learn how to create activities so I can add them to this Moodle. I am not sure if that would work or not but I am hoping this can give more value to Moodle because most of the time my trainees find it of no value.

When Moodle is used mainly as a place to upload materials, learners often see it as passive and not very useful. That is likely why your trainees feel it has little value. Once you start adding interactive elements like forums with clear tasks, reflective journals, quizzes with feedback, or even simple peer collaboration activities, the platform begins to feel alive and relevant.
Your goal to add value is the right focus. Start small. Even one well designed activity that requires trainees to think, respond, and interact can completely shift their perception. You do not need to redesign everything at once.
You are also in a strong position because you understand your trainees’ needs from experience. That insight will guide you in creating activities that are meaningful rather than just technical additions.
