Question 1: What is your current experience with Moodle?
Answer: My current experience with Moodle includes creating activities, adding courses, and navigating site administration. I initially learned Moodle for offline usage, especially in environments with limited internet access, which helped me support my learners in a primary school setting.

Question 2: What do you hope to achieve by learning how to develop Moodle activities and resources with AI?
Answer: I hope to integrate AI effectively into the South African curriculum, adapting it to meet the specific needs and levels of my learners. I also want to discover innovative strategies that engage students and improve their learning outcomes.

Question 3: How do you see AI tools supporting your work as a Moodle teacher?
Answer: I see AI tools as invaluable aids in my teaching. They can help me automate grading, provide precise feedback, and track learner progress more effectively. By using AI, I can gain deeper insights into each student’s strengths and challenges, enabling me to tailor instruction and support individual growth.

That takes real creativity and commitment, and it shows how focused you are on making learning accessible for your students, no matter the constraints.

Your goal of integrating AI into the South African curriculum is very powerful. AI can really support you in adapting content to different levels, languages, and learning needs without adding to your workload. You might find that even simple uses, like generating multiple versions of an activity or creating scaffolded instructions, can make a big difference in how your learners engage and succeed.

I also like how you’re thinking about using AI for feedback and tracking progress. That’s exactly where these tools shine. When you combine that with Moodle’s features, you can go even further. You can set up activities where students receive immediate feedback, while you still guide the deeper learning. You can also create different learning paths for groups or individual learners so each student works at their own pace and level.

One thing I’d encourage you to keep in mind is balance. AI can support grading and insights, but your role in interpreting that information and responding to your learners is what really makes the difference. The strength comes from how you combine your teaching experience with what AI provides.
