• Overview of the Course

Manager of a Moodle Site (MOMS) AI Enhanced is a 4-week paid online training course designed for advanced Moodlers who have already created Moodle courses and now wish to practice the role of a site manager. Participants work in a Blended Online Learning Moodle site and gain hands-on experience with user, course, and administrative management, while integrating AI tools and best practices for efficient Moodle site management. The course is intended for educators who have completed previous Moodle for Teachers courses and are ready to advance into site-level management.

Week 1 – Introduction and Orientation
Participants are introduced to the MOMS course structure, expectations, and learning environment. They explore the Blended Online Learning Moodle site, review the manager role in Moodle, and reflect on their prior experience as course creators. An introduction forum allows participants to share their background and goals for managing a Moodle site.

Week 2 – Practicing the Manager Role
Participants receive the Manager role in the Admin portal of the Blended Online Learning Moodle site. They practice core manager responsibilities including user management, role assignments, course visibility, enrollments, and site organization. AI tools are introduced to support decision-making, efficiency, and documentation of management tasks.

Week 3 – Managing Courses and Site Features
Participants focus on managing courses and site-level features from a manager’s perspective. Activities include organizing course categories, overseeing course settings, supporting teachers, monitoring site activity, and applying AI tools for troubleshooting, communication, and workflow optimization. Participants reflect on the differences between teaching and managing in Moodle.

Week 4 – Showcase and Reflection
Participants showcase the management tasks they practiced during the course, highlighting how they used Moodle features and AI tools to support site management. The course concludes with reflection on the manager role, lessons learned, and readiness to manage or support a Moodle site independently. Participants who complete all activities receive a certificate of completion.
