Reflection

I initially thought the task only required me to mention the different options available after clicking the drop-down arrow on the teacher and learner profiles. However, after watching two videos from other students, I realised that they went further by explaining what each option actually entails and how it functions. This helped me understand the task at a deeper level and showed me the importance of providing detailed explanations rather than simply listing features.

Watching and commenting on other students’ work also made me realise how valuable peer learning can be. Their presentations gave me clarity and helped me reflect on whether my own understanding was on the right track. I now feel that it is beneficial to first engage with and comment on classmates’ work before posting my own, as this can improve my understanding, broaden my perspective, and help me produce more meaningful work.

Thank you for sharing your walkthrough video, Odetty and adding comments and reflecting.

You demonstrated an important shift from simply identifying features to developing a deeper understanding of their purpose and function in the learning process. Realizing that detailed explanations add meaning and clarity is an important step in becoming more confident and reflective as an online educator.

Your comments about peer learning are especially valuable. Watching other students’ work often helps us notice ideas, approaches, and details we may have missed on our own. Engaging with classmates before submitting your own work can strengthen understanding, encourage critical thinking, and build a supportive learning community. This kind of reflection shows growth, openness to learning from others, and a strong commitment to improving your work through collaboration and observation.
