This 8-week hands-on online course is ideal for educators, instructional designers, tutors, and administrators who want to confidently manage and teach on their own Moodle site for a fee or even for free! Participants gain real-world experience working on the Integrating Technology, NEP as  admins but practice on their very own Moodle 5.2 Sandbox site as the admin. 

Throughout the course, participants learn how to set up and manage a Moodle site, organize courses and categories, handle user management, configure authentication and enrollment systems, install plugins, and maintain privacy and security. Each module provides guided, practical activities that help you develop skills you can immediately apply.

Whether you want to create and run your own free courses, offer tutoring online, or simply gain admin control of a Moodle site, this course will equip you with the skills to do it confidently. You’ll also discover how to integrate ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Claude, and Google Gemini to automate tasks, assist learners, and streamline your workflow.

In week 2, participants receive the role of admin on NEP and receive their very own Moodle 5.2 Sandbox sites to explore, install plugins, and share. They act as observers on NEP to see what plugins need to be installed on their Moodle 5.2 Sandbox sites.

Peer Learning

Throughout the course, participants will be learning from one another. 

They will create video tutorials and share screenshots to showcase and reflect on what they learn using Colossyan, Filmora, ScreenPal, or any other screen recording tool for peer learning and to sustain learning. 

They will upload the MP4 files to Youtube (unlisted or public) or Google drive (make public) make the videos public, copy the links, and paste them in the discussion forums or they will embed the screen recordings.

The forums are graded out of 100. There are no in between grades. You will receive 100 when you complete all parts of the task, or you will be asked to revise and resubmit.
