Week 1 Summary — Forums for Peer Engagement and Learning

Greetings and welcome to Week 1 of the course.

Create your AI-generated introduction video with D-ID or Heygen (or another text/image-to-video tool). Download the video, upload it to YouTube (unlisted or public) or Google Drive (public link), then share it on Mapify so the AI can generate a mind-map summary of your introduction. Set your Mapify link to open in a new window.

    See orientation tutorials:

Start with “Add a new discussion topic.” Include in your video or text post:

    • Name (pronounce clearly) and how you’d like to be called
    • Educational Background
    • Professional Experience related to Moodle/AI
    • Interest in Moodle and AI tools
    • Expectations for the course
    • Personal/Professional Projects (if any)
    • Career Goals
    • Interests & Hobbies

After posting on Mapify, share in the forum:

    1. Your video link (D-ID or Heygen)
    2. Mapify transcript
    3. Mapify mind map

You are required to watch at least one peer’s work, explore their mind map, leave a friendly comment or question, and read instructor comments.

Grading: Completing this activity earns 100 points. Partial or in-between grades are not awarded.

Mapify: Use the free version. If a payment page appears, close it—you have enough credits for this task. One participant will receive a free 1-year Pro account at the end of the course. Create a free Mapify AI account to generate your mind map and continue on the free plan. Open Mapify
