Overview of the Course

Welcome to AI-Generated WebQuests with WebQuest Wizard GPT. In this four-week professional development course, you will create, host, and present WebQuests generated with WebQuest Wizard GPT, use D-ID or Heygen for short intro and reflection videos, and leverage Mapify to generate AI mind-map summaries of your work. Each week includes forums rated 100 (complete) or 0 (incomplete). Your final project is an interactive presentation showcasing your WebQuest on Gamma and VoxDeck.

Week 1 Summary — Forums for Peer Engagement and Learning
Greetings and welcome to Week 1 of the course.
Create your AI-generated introduction video with D-ID or Heygen (or another text/image-to-video tool). Download the video, upload it to YouTube (unlisted or public) or Google Drive (public link), then share it on Mapify so the AI can generate a mind-map summary of your introduction. Set your Mapify link to open in a new window.

Start with “Add a new discussion topic.” Include in your video or text post:
- Name (pronounce clearly) and how you’d like to be called
- Educational Background
- Professional Experience related to Moodle/AI
- Interest in Moodle and AI tools
- Expectations for the course
- Personal/Professional Projects (if any)
- Career Goals
- Interests & Hobbies
After posting on Mapify, share in the forum:
- Your video link (D-ID or Heygen)
- Mapify transcript
- Mapify mind map
You are required to watch at least one peer’s work, explore their mind map, leave a friendly comment or question, and read instructor comments.
Grading: Completing this activity earns 100 points. Partial or in-between grades are not awarded.

Week 2 Summary — Developing Your WebQuest
Greetings and welcome to Week 2 of the course.
Continue building your AI-generated WebQuest with WebQuest Wizard GPT by creating the Task, Process, and Resources sections.
Record a short walkthrough video sharing your work. Upload to YouTube or Google Drive and share on Mapify to generate a mind map. Start with “Add a new discussion topic.” Include:
- Your selected WebQuest topic
- The Task you created
- The Process steps students will follow
- The Resources you will use
Post your video link, Mapify transcript, and mind map in the Week 2 forum. View and comment on at least one peer’s work and read instructor feedback.
Grading: 100 points for completion. No partial grades. Continue with Mapify free plan; close any payment pop-ups. One participant receives a Pro account at course end.
Week 3 Summary — Completing and Presenting Your WebQuest
Greetings and welcome to Week 3 of the course.
Complete the Evaluation, Conclusion, and Credits sections using WebQuest Wizard GPT. Host your final WebQuest on Gamma or Google Sites and prepare to present it with VoxDeck.
Record a short walkthrough reflection video, upload to YouTube/Google Drive, and share on Mapify for a mind map summary. In your forum post, include:
- How AI supported your design
- Highlights from your Evaluation
- Key points from your Conclusion and Credits
- Your host choice (Gamma or Google Sites) and your VoxDeck presentation note
Share your video link, Mapify transcript, and mind map in the Week 3 forum; engage with at least one peer.
Grading: 100 points for completion. No partial grades. Use Mapify free plan.
Week 4 Summary — Showcase and Reflect
Greetings and welcome to Week 4 of the course.
Create an interactive presentation that showcases your AI-generated WebQuest, reflects on your learning, and links to your WebQuest using Gamma, Canva, or VoxDeck, based on a recording of your WebQuest uploaded to YouTube.

Steps:
- Upload your completed eBook to Mapify.
- Copy the Mapify link.
- Start a new discussion post in the Week 4 forum and paste the link.
Peer Interaction: Review at least one peer's Mapify. Provide feedback on how their mindmap showcases their WebQuest and ask one follow-up question.
Grading: 100 points for completion. No partial grades. Continue with Mapify free plan; one participant receives a 1-year Pro account at the end of the course.
