2. Session Objectives

By the end of the workshop learners should be able to:

  • Discuss the teaching English with a learning management system for face-to-face, blended learning environments, and hyflex environments.  
  • Compare the resources and activities in a Moodle course
  • Discuss the role of a teacher in the classroom and in a Moodle course 
  • Explore Moodle Tools in their courses on Teachers Teaching Teachers Moodle site https://onlinecourses4free.com
  • Document the resources available in their courses on Teachers Teaching Teachers Moodle site https://onlinecourses4free.com by creating video tutorials using Screencast-o-Matic or any other screen recorder and publishing the videos on Youtube and/or Vimeo 
  • Document the activities available in their courses on Teachers Teaching Teachers Moodle site https://onlinecourses4free.com by creating video tutorials using Screencast-o-Matic and publishing videos on Youtube and/or Vimeo.   
  • Create a tutorial showcasing the blocks available on Moodle in the main course area as a student.
  • Create a video tutorial showcasing the blocks available in their courses on Teachers Teaching Teachers Moodle site https://onlinecourses4free.com as a manager of the course by showing how to add blocks. 
  • Prepare a syllabus for their course from a template provided on Google docs. 
  • Develop an online course on Teachers Teaching Teachers Moodle site https://onlinecourses4free.com for English language learners.  
  • Develop activities and add resources to online course on Teachers Teaching Teachers Moodle site https://onlinecourses4free.com.
  • Develop activity completion with graded discussions.
  • Develop course completion for the activities and resources
  • Create a progress bar block for all the graded activities.  
  • Create digital badges and a final certificate. 
  • Showcase the final online course and reflect on the process.
