• Introduction

    In Week 1, participants will be introduced to each other, the course facilitator, the Moodle platform, AgentLab, and AI tools for teachers. The focus is on building community, becoming familiar with the online learning environment, and exploring how AI and agentic AI can enhance teaching and learning.

    Participants create and post short video introductions using Colossyan or HeyGen. They explore AgentLab and begin defining an AI agent that addresses a teaching or learning need.

    Participants are introduced to their dedicated server environment, where they have access to their sandboxes, the terminal, and Softaculous. They explore the server environment and install their own Moodle site using Softaculous. This Moodle installation will serve as their development environment as they build and test their AI agent throughout the course.

    Participants also learn how to navigate the course Moodle site by accessing the weekly sections, participating in forums, sharing tasks, and exploring the available resources and activities.

    By the end of Week 1, participants will have:
    • connected with peers and the facilitator through AI-generated video introductions.
    • explored AgentLab as a guide for developing AI agents.
    • identified a teaching or learning need for their AI agent.
    • become familiar with their sandbox, terminal access, and Softaculous.
    • installed their Moodle site.
    • gained familiarity with the features of the Moodle platform.
