• Creating ELT Activities with AI

    In Week 3, participants will create interactive ELT activities using AI. They will design a quiz, build a chatbot role play, and generate a reflection task. In addition, they will use NotebookLM to create a podcast activity from one of their tutorial videos. Two showcase videos will be posted in the forum for feedback.

    Objectives (in order):

    • Create a quiz with AI

    • Share sticky notes comparing each of the 3 AI quiz makers.

    • Build a chatbot for role play 

    • Generate a reflection activity using a chat bot

    • Create a NotebookLM podcast based on a Week 3 video

    • Record two showcase videos (walkthrough + tutorial)

    • Engage with peers in the forum

    Tasks:

    1. Quiz: Create with Quizgecko, Quizizz, and ProProfs

    2. Chatbot: Build a role play using Character.ai.

    3. Reflection Activity with a Chatbot: Generate with ElevenLabs, Riff Bot AI or Mizou.

    4. NotebookLM Podcast Activity: Choose one of your own YouTube tutorial videos from this week and use NotebookLM to generate a short podcast-style activity for ESL students.

    5. Final Showcase – Two Videos (post in Week 3 Forum):

      • Walkthrough Video: Screen-share showing how you created the quiz, chatbot, reflection, and podcast.

      • Tutorial Video: Present your final results and explain how you would use them with ESL learners.

    Peer Interaction: Reply to at least one peers with a meaningful question about their activities.

    Grading: Both videos required. Complete submission = 100 points.
